kimchi韓國泡菜
來自韓國式古漢語。kim-,來自古漢語菹(zu),腌菜,泡菜,原義為剁,即剁碎的蔬菜(參照成語“人為刀俎,我為魚肉”),進(jìn)入古朝鮮后念jeo或ju音,chi-,即菜,念ji音。該食物在三國時(shí)期傳入韓鮮半島,拼寫后來被修正為jimchi,最終被修正為kimchi.比較中國式英語pidgin,來自19世紀(jì)中期上海開埠時(shí)中國人對business的發(fā)音,在歐洲人聽起來就是pidgin或pigeon,因此這種中國式英語就被嘲諷為pidgin English.
